Journeys around the Coast
'Journeys around the Coast' are works produced during my intermittent visits from 1997 to 1998 to the south-east coast of England, travelling through Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex.

“As the train pulls out familiarity begins to drop away. The journey encapsulates my dreams and my reality. I then find myself a room overlooking the sea. It is yellow, dark, well worn and grubby, I pull back the curtains and the street lamp casts a vivid green light across the room, and beyond, the dark sea rolls in. I step back...”
